Mark A. Looft joined MB Business Capital (fka Cole Taylor Business Capital) (“MBBC”) in 2010 as group senior vice president and region executive for the western U.S. Upon joining, he launched the firm’s Western U.S. headquarters in Irvine, California, outside Los Angeles. His business development efforts target both private companies and private equity backed entities with borrowing needs of $5 million to $50 million.
Mr. Looft has more than twenty years of finance and senior debt lending experience. Prior to MBBC, he served as director with GMAC Commercial Finance’s Structured Finance division. In 1999, he successfully launched GE Capital Business Credit’s Western U.S. regional office where he was a senior vice president. Mr. Looft has also been with Fremont Financial, where he also served as senior vice president and region executive, and Foothill Capital (now Wells Fargo Capital Finance), where he started his career as an auditor, financial analyst, and underwriter.
Mr. Looft is presently Chairman of CFCC, the local chapter of Commercial Finance Association (CFA) in Southern California. He is also a director of the Orange County chapter of Association for Corporate Growth (ACG).
He holds a B.S. in Finance from Arizona State University and resides in Orange County, California, with his wife and three children.
